Last night at BAFTA in London, Kanye held a screening for his film Runaway. He collaborated the film with Vanessa Beecroft and producer Jonathan Lia. Here are some details.

• Selita Ebanks co-stars as a phoenix that falls to the ground and starts dating Kanye

• Kanye says he drew inspiration from Michael Jackson’s Thriller, The Wall and Purple Rain

• The film is narrated by Nicki Minaj, in a British accent.

• The version shown last night had French subtitles

• It feautures a bunch of songs from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

• It features an homage to Michael Jackson

After the screening, Yeezy held a nearly 2 hour Q&A with the audience. A few highlights:

• The film was shot in Prague over a 4 day period

• The term “toast to the douche bags” was inspired by a party in Stockholm.

• He helped Nicki Minaj with her verse on “Monster”

• Jay uses the Reasonable Doubt flow on his song with Pete Rock, and they’ll be visiting the south of France towards the end of the month to finish Watch The Throne, after Kanye hands in My Beatiful Dark Twisted Fantasy on the October 14th.

• Bon Iver, who he samples on “Lost In The World,” will be on 9 tracks from the album.

Complex just published some interview outtakes from KiD CuDi’s explosive interview with Joe La Puma from their October/November cover story. In it CuDi discusses his fallout with Wale.

Complex: Where did the whole attitude shift towards Wale stem from?

Kid Cudi: I really don’t understand what’s up with this guy, but he’s just somebody I don’t click with anymore. I started making changes in my life and started to realize positive energy around me, and he never really had a good energy. I never felt like he wanted to see me prosper, it was just one of those niggas that was envious rather than happy for a nigga. I could be reading it wrong, but I’m not making beef and rearranging my life. It’s pretty obvious he feels some type of way about it. I’m not into peer mediation and working things out, I’m just trying to provide for my daughter and my family and making music for my fans. I vibe with certain people and some people I don’t.

Looks like some of us (including SWR) have some splaining to do. Kanye has laid down the gauntlet G.O.O.D Friday was his gift to the fans and even though all we were doing was trying to hear more, we have upset the man with the fire. But Kanye cmon I’m just saying “No one man should have all that power!”

Apparently Kanye’s dropping his (still-untitled) fifth studio album on November 22nd, which is the Monday before Black Friday. Also out that week is albums from Ne-Yo (Libra Scale), Flo Rida (The Only 1), Nicki Minaj (Pink Friday), Akon (Akonic), and Lloyd Banks (H.F.M. 2). Lets hope that Yeezy’s album doesn’t get pushed back even further. At least he has beem hooking us up with all his G.O.O.D. Fridays. More at Rap-Up.

Lil Wayne will now be featured across ads everywhere for the upcoming video game, Def Jam Rapstar, which is due out October 5th. Lil Wayne is appropriately featured on the ad the day his new I Am Not A Human Being has dropped and it’s also his birthday. Go download the album now.

“In light of the feedback we’ve received on the Katy Perry music video which was released on YouTube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast of Sesame Street, which is aimed at preschoolers.”

Apparently Katy’s outfit was deemed too revealing to be aired on Sesame Street. There really isn’t much Katy could do to cover up that natural sex appeal she oozes out of her pores. But I really cant see little 5 to 6 year olds getting excited over that video. Other than dancing along of course.

Kanye West has been tweeting a whole lot earlier this morning about the past year of his life. He goes on venting about his feelings towards the haters, his NBC telethon, the perception that he is a racist, and of course the Taylor Swift Incident. It’s a pretty long read but now you can really understand where Kanye is coming from.

Here is the first edition of a new post idea Gambit and I struck last night. We were just drinking and chilling listening to some of the usual bar/party scene sounds when we both thought what the fuck happened to most of these people. We were fresh out of high school when “Lean Wit it, Rock wit It” hit big. Before the “Dougie” that was the hot shit! After that you really didn’t hear from those dudes again. Apparently the last real music they did was all back on 08 with the album Our World, Our Way. So the answer to the big question is ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE!

I wanted to post “Lean Wit it, Rock Wit It” up top but youtube really locked that video down. Instead we have the first song that put that group on that map.

Young Money is running the news today. So as of right now Nov. 5th looks like the release date for the Carter 3s follow up. Until then we have I’m Not a Human Being EP coming out Sept. 27th.

I’m gonna go ahead and call BULLSHIT right here and right now.
